Our Affiliates
CIS of Virginia is part of a national Communities In Schools network. CIS of Virginia’s statewide affiliate network includes six CIS organizations, each addressing the needs specific to its school system and community. Each CIS office operates independently as its own 501c3 organization. The CIS of Virginia office provides essential training and data collection, pursuit and disbursement of state funding, and strategic planning to support increase in both depth and breadth of CIS programming throughout the state. CIS of Virginia currently operates school-based programming in Danville, Lunenburg County and Greensville County, with the intention of the region supporting an independent affiliate.
